Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Recruits Branford Marsalis For Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas Concerts

Grateful Dead tribute band Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and saxophonist Branford Marsalis will soon reconnect for a pair of shows at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. The prior collaborators will share the stage once again on Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24.

Marsalis and Joe Russo's Almost Dead first teamed up at the 2023 Newport Jazz Festival. Marsalis also performed with JRAD at Red Rocks last summer.

The acclaimed saxophonist also appeared onstage with the Grateful Dead five times in the 1990s. Additionally, Marsalis has appeared with The Dead, Furthur and Dead & Company, the latter of which will be playing at the Las Vegas Sphere on April 24 – 26.

JRAD will also perform a late night show at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (without Marsalis) on Friday, April 25. Tickets are on sale now.
