Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers shared a video for “Underwater.” The song appears on the band’s 2019 album, Paper Castle.
The video for “Underwater” celebrates Paper Castle’s one-year anniversary. To direct the visual, frontman Joe Hertler tapped his old friend Dave Suchanek, who in many ways is responsible for the formation of The Rainbow Seekers.
“Nearly a decade ago,” Hertler explained in a statement, “he called me up to work on a musical project; a project that would introduce me to the guys who would become my bandmates only a few months later.”

Hertler also detailed the subject matter of “Underwater.” “The song compares being in love to a twisting forest: organic, breathing, ever-changing, and ultimately, like everything else, impermanent,” he said. “It’s something that drags you underwater into the darkness, but you find that you can see and breathe.”
