Jimmy Herring & John McLaughlin To Participate In Facebook Live Chat

As reported, John McLaughlin And The 4th Dimension will hold a co-headlining The Meeting Of The Spirits Tour with Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring in November and December 2017. McLaughlin and Herring have announced an upcoming Facebook Live chat to discuss the upcoming tour.

The Meeting Of The Spirits Tour will feature each guitarist playing a set with their backing bands, followed by a collaborative “expansive closing jam based on classic Mahavishnu Orchestra material.” The two musicians will take questions about the pending tour during a Facebook Live session from New York City on Saturday, December 10 at 3 p.m. ET. For McLaughlin’s first extensive U.S. tour in seven years, he will be backed by his current band, the 4th Dimension featuring Ranjit Barot (drums), Gary Husband (keyboards, drums), and Etienne M’Bappé (bass). The members of Jimmy Herring’s band for the tour have not been confirmed. It is expected that these will be the final American performances held by McLaughlin.
