Jimmy Herring & The Invisible Whip Start Rolling Out Summer Dates

Guitarist Jimmy Herring of Widespread Panic and Aquarium Rescue Unit fame recently announced he had formed a new band dubbed Jimmy Herring and The Invisible Whip. Jimmy will bring the outfit on the road for a series of summer dates.
So far 14 Jimmy Herring And The Invisible Whip dates spanning July through September have been revealed. The newly added gigs come ahead of the group’s Meeting Of The Spirits Tour with John McLaughin. As currently laid out, Herring and his group begin the summer jaunt at Minglewood Hall in Memphis on July 19. The tour continues with a pair of shows at Duling Hall in Jackson, Mississippi on July 20 and 21 as well as a visit to Birmingham on July 22 and stops in the Georgia cities of Atlanta (July 25), Athens (July 26) and Macon (July 27).
The guitarist will bring The Invisible Whip to Asheville on July 28 and Charlotte on July 30 ahead of early August performances in Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania. Finally, the group will make its Colorado debut at Boulder’s Fox Theatre on September 8 and 9. Jimmy Herring will be joined by his longtime Aquarium Rescue Unit band mate Jeff Sipe (a.k.a. Apt-Q258) on drums, multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, Kevin Scott on bass and Matt Slocum on keyboards in The Invisible Whip. The Meeting Of The Spirits Tour kicks off in early November.
