Jimmy Herring Forms New Band & Announces Lineup

By Scott Bernstein Jan 27, 2017 7:36 am PST

Famed guitarist Jimmy Herring might have a light year of touring with Widespread Panic, but he will hit the road with a few other projects this year. Not only will Jimmy embark on a co-headlining tour with John McLaughlin, he’s also formed a brand new band called Jimmy Herring & The Invisible Whip.

Today, Herring revealed the membership of his new project. The guitarist will be joined by his longtime Aquarium Rescue Unit band mate Jeff Sipe (a.k.a. Apt-Q258) on drums, keyboardist Jason Crosby, Kevin Scott on bass and Matt Slocum on keyboards. While dates have yet to be announced, expect the band to “come soon to a town near you in 2017 and beyond.”
