Jim James Performs Live On KCRW


My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James was the guest on Wednesday’s edition of KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic program. The appearance included an interview with host Jason Bentley as well as James performing solo renditions of four of the songs that are on his latest covers album Tribute To 2./p>

James recorded songs written by Willie Nelson, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Emerson Lake & Palmer and others for Tribute To 2, which followed-up his 2009 EP of George Harrison covers Tribute To. His live session at KCRW Studios in Los Angeles saw takes on Nelson’s “Funny How Time Slips Away,” Sonny & Cher’s “Baby Don’t Go,” Diane Izzo’s “Wild Honey” and Abbey Lincoln’s “The World Is Falling Down.”
