Jesse Welles Comes To ‘Colbert’ To Perform ‘Join Ice’ & More

Jesse Welles delivered a solo acoustic performance of “Join Ice” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The song appears on the four-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter’s EP, No Kings.
Welles received Grammy nods including Best Americana Performance for “Horses,” Best American Roots Song for “Middle,” Best Americana Album for Middle and Best Folk Album for Under the Powerlines (April 24 – September 24). The 68th annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 1.
The prolific socio-political commentator also released his album Devil’s Den in August and the aforementioned three-song EP No Kings on October 17, the day before the movement of the same name took to the streets in opposition to the Trump administration.
For his Colbert performance on Wednesday, Welles delivered the No Kings track “Join Ice.” He also offered a bonus performance of “Red,” another 2025 release that arrived along with the song “Domestic Error.”
