Jerry Garcia Foundation Announces Jerry Garcia Archive

The online resource will debut on what would have been the Grateful Dead guitarist’s 80th birthday, August 1, 2022.

The Jerry Garcia Foundation announced the launch of the Jerry Garcia Archive. The official online archive honoring the late Grateful Dead guitarist will be available on what would have been Jerry Garcia‘s 80th birthday, August 1, 2022.

“The Jerry Garcia Archive will serve as a vehicle of education and inspiration for the greater community,” said a spokesperson from the Jerry Garcia Foundation. “This project will help further the humanitarian and artistic mission of the foundation.”

Among the items the Jerry Garcia Archive will showcase are photos, books, artwork, videos, albums and other memorabilia and ephemera. Members of Garcia’s family provided personal items as well as previously released books, artwork and albums to the Jerry Garcia Archive.

Fans and artists are encouraged to submit digital JPEG copies of their own Garcia-related artwork, photos and memorabilia for inclusion in the digital library. Find information regarding submissions here.

The Jerry Garcia Foundation 501(c)(3) nonprofit was established in 2015 by Garcia’s daughter, Keelin Garcia and his wife, Manasha Garcia. The organization, “supports environmental, artistic and humanitarian causes. “
