Jeremy Ivey shared a video for his song “Things Could Get Much Worse.” The track appears on the singer-songwriter’s upcoming new album, Waiting Out The Storm, which was produced by his wife Margo Price and will be released on ANTI- Records on October 9.
In the “Things Could Get Much Worse” video Ivey walks through the Nashville, past honkytonks on Broadway Street while wearing a hazmat suit. The visual is a statement on the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Ivey recently revealed he was ill for several months with COVID-19 earlier this year.
“I don’t write a whole lot of positive songs, but I try to have one per record at least,” Ivey said o the new single. “So this my positive message for the world. These are the good old days no matter how bad they seem. Just remember, life could be a lot harder than it already is. This song was written in about ten minutes, this is our first take in the studio and the video was shot in a couple hours. All in the moment and off the cuff, the way it should be.”
