Jelly Roll capped an event weekend in New York by appearing on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Tennessee-native was joined by and Travis Barker for a performance of the recently released single, “Lonely Road.”
Jelly Roll kicked off his busy stint in New York with a performance at Madison Square Garden last Friday night that featured Post Malone, Busta Rhymes and Jessie Murph among the evening’s special guests. The following day, Jelly Roll performed at the Global Citizen Festival and pulled double duty as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. On Sunday, Jelly Roll performed a concert at the Prudential Center in nearby Newark, New Jersey and was joined by Alexandra Kay and mgk.
Both The Tonight Show and Prudential Center audiences were treated to performances of “Lonely Road,” the collaborative mgk and Jelly Roll single that came out over the summer. The track will be included on Jelly Roll’s pending studio album, Beautifully Broken, which is due on October 11. The song interpolates John Denver’s classic “Country Roads, Take Me Home.”
Jelly Roll was also brought out for an interview with Jimmy Fallon, marking his first time sitting down with The Tonight Show host. Watch the performance of “Lonely Road” featuring mgk on vocals and Travis Barker on drums, as well as Jelly Roll’s interview below:
