Earlier this month Wilco front man Jeff Tweedy revealed the members of his new band. Tweedy will soon embark on a tour that will mix between solo performances and material in which he’s backed by this new ensemble. Jeff’s new band finds him joined by his son Spencer Tweedy on drums, Jim Elkington on guitar, Darin Gray on bass and Liam Cunningham on keyboards and they are set to perform songs off his soon-to-be-released solo album. Today, Austin360 broke the news that Tweedy will tape an episode of Austin City Limits with the new group.

The Jeff Tweedy Austin City Limits taping will take place on June 20 and will air as part of the program’s landmark 40th season. Jeff is expected to perform both solo and with the band for his ACL appearance. If you’re in the Austin area and looking to attend the taping, we suggest keeping your eyes on @ACLTV for a chance to win tickets. The appearance marks Tweedy’s fifth on the program following four previous visits from Wilco.
