Jeff Tweedy Of Wilco Performs ‘Pecan Pie’ For MyMusicRx’s Bedstock

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy is the latest artist to perform in bed for MyMusicRx’s Bedstock online music festival. The Children’s Cancer Association launched MyMusicRx to provide bedside service, in-hospital concerts and programs like Bedstock so children and teens facing cancer and other serious illnesses can experience the healing power of music. Tweedy performed “Pecan Pie” for the Bedstock series, which was started by MyMusicRx in 2014.

Jeff Tweedy recorded a rendition of “Pecan Pie” while sitting on a bed at The Decemberists’ Traveler’s Rest festival in Missoula, Montana. The musician wrote the song for inclusion on alt-country supergroup Golden Smog’s 1995 studio album Down By The Mainstream. Rolling Stone premiered the video and noted that while Wilco hasn’t performed “Pecan Pie” since 2000, Tweedy played the tune at a number of solo concerts over the years.
