Jeff Coffin Guests With The Nth Power At Tour Closer

On December 9, The Nth Power concluded an 11-week tour with Dopapod at Exit/In in Nashville. The Nth Power were joined by special guest Jeff Coffin, best known as saxophonist for the Dave Matthews Band, for a powerful version of “Walk On Water” off their recently released Abundance album.

Coffin connected with Nth Power drummer Nikki Glaspie before the show and Nikki asked Jeff to bring his horn. “Jeff knows how to enhance the music, like without even hearing it, and that’s a gift. He’s played the song with us once before in Austin back in May after Jazzfest. And I don’t know if he’s heard it since. But [in Nashville] he just came up and elevated us completely. Jeff is really good at servicing the music… and that’s why he’s in Dave Matthews Band. That’s why he’s the cat,” Glaspie tells JamBase.
