Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck reunited during the encore of Stewart’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Friday night. It marked the first time the former Jeff Beck Group bandmates officially performed together in a decade.
Stewart teamed up with Jeff Beck Group in 1967. The band’s first show took place at the Fillmore East opening for the Grateful Dead in 1968. That same year, Jeff Beck Group would release an album called Truth. Beck and Stewart would perform a number of songs from the LP during the Hollywood Bowl encore including “Blues Deluxe,” “I Ain’t Superstitious,” “Rock My Plimsoul,” and “Morning Dew.” The duo also performed “People Get Ready” from Beck and Stewart’s 1985 collaborative album Flash.
