Jeff Austin Appears On ‘Apparently This Matters’

Mandolin player Jeff Austin is the latest musician to appear on the ongoing video series Apparently This Matters with host Jarrett Bellini. The former Yonder Mountain String Band frontman discusses the current status of his solo efforts and a variety of other topics in the 11-minute video chat.

Austin talks about his post-show routine on the road and his early morning routine with his two daughters at home. Jeff also talks about the influence the Grateful Dead and Phish had on his approach to playing shows and how it has evolved in response to performing what fans want to hear. Recorded at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta in March, Austin also talks about the “woo” moments at shows, the way technology has impacted live concert and touring experiences, having a landline phone, pet peeves and much more in the video below, watch:
