Jason Isbell was on tour in support of the 2009 self-titled Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit album when he made a promotional stop at Paste Magazine offices in Decatur, Georgia on this date in 2010. The performance from 11 years ago featured a trio of tracks from the album and a cover of a Will Johnson song.

Isbell played acoustic guitar while backed by keyboardist Derry deBorja and former 400 Unit guitarist Browan Lollar, who now performs with St. Paul & The Broken Bones. The set featured the Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit tracks “The Blue,” “Streetlights” and “The Last Song I Will Write.” The trio also worked up a version of Johnson’s “Just To Know What You’ve Been Dreaming” from the Texas-based singer-songwriter’s 2004 album, Vultures Await.
