Jason Isbell Appears On Grammy Up Close & Personal Interview Series

Singer-songwriter Jason Isbell is among the many talented musicians on the roster of marketing, distribution and management company Thirty Tigers. Isbell recently spoke with Thirty Tigers co-founder David Macias for The Grammys Up Close & Personal interview series.
Macias, who is also a Grammy Award-winning producer, chatted with Isbell at Old Town School Of Folk Music in Chicago. The discussion touches on Isbell’s early development as a songwriter and the influence of his grandfather on learning to play music. Isbell also explains his working relationship with producer Dave Cobb who was integral in recording Isbell’s 2013 LP Southeastern and 2015’s Something More Than Free.
Isbell reveals he plans to go into the studio to work on a new album next month.
