Watch Japanese Breakfast Bring ‘Kokomo, IN’ To ‘Colbert’
A string section augmented the band on the cut off 2021’s Jubilee.

Japanese Breakfast swung by the Ed Sullivan Theater on Wednesday for an appearance on last night’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The group fronted by Michelle Zauner performed “Kokomo, IN,” a track off their Grammy-nominated 2021 album Jubilee.
The group’s visit to Colbert came ahead of their sold-out show at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall tonight. Additionally, Zauner will talk with Hua Hsu and perform at The New Yorker Festival this Saturday, October 7.

Japanese Breakfast was augmented by a string section for “Kokomo, IN” last night. Zauner’s silky smooth vocals floated atop the delicate strings and lofty groove.
