James Iha Sits-In With The Smashing Pumpkins In Los Angeles

Original The Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha reunited with former band mates frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin last night in Los Angeles. The trio had last shared a stage together in 2000.
Celebrating his birthday Saturday night, Iha contributed to a number of songs during the Pumpkins performance at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. The founding guitarist, who left the group after their disbandment in 2000, sat-in on such band classics as “Mayonaise,” “Soma,” “Rocket,” “Today,” “Disarm,” “Spaceboy” and “Whir.” The crowd also sang “Happy Birthday” to Iha during the surprise guest spot.
