Chicago native James Elkington released a new album entitled Ever-Roving Eye through the Paradise of Bachelors imprint. The 10-track record is the follow-up to Elkington’s 2017 debut, Wintres Woma.

Elkington’s resume includes work with Jeff Tweedy, Tortoise and Richard Thompson, among many others. James recorded Ever-Roving Eye at The Loft, Wilco’s Windy City studio. Bassist Nick Macri, violinist Macie Stewart, cellist Lia Kohl, drummer Spencer Tweedy, vocalist Tamara Lindeman (The Weather Station) and woodwind specialist Paul Von Mertens are some of the musicians who contributed to Elkington’s sophomore studio album.

“The album ropes in echoes of British library musics, horror-film soundtracks, demure psychedelia and more rocking elements of folk-rock,” as per press materials announcing the record. Listen to Ever-Roving Eye below:
