JAMCAM AT SEA

Five 15-hour-plus shoot days and nearly 150 hours of tape in the can later, JamCam Chronicles has returned from Jam Cruise 5 ready to show the world what they’re missing. “Jam Cruise is bar none THE most unique festival event the music scene has to offer” exclaims JamCam Director Tom Ledermann, “and we couldn’t be more honored to have been given the opportunity to add it to the amazing little time capsule we’ve begun to build.”
The Jam Cruise (Double!) DVD will be JamCam’s 13th installment overall, and the 1st of its 3rd season of critically acclaimed festival focused DVDs. “We have so many loyal subscribers who’ve been on board since day one” says the Jammy Award nominated filmmaker “that we thought the least we could do to reward them would be to kick off Season 3 with a bang, and what better way to do just that than with a Jam Cruise two-disc set!”
From an on-the-beach interview with Karl Denson explaining the importance of cruise ship hygiene to the wildly successful “Bandmates Game” that had the whole ship in stitches, the JamCam crew covered this year’s cruise from stern to bow and ship to shore. “The music was amazing” said Ledermann, “and we got tons of it… but our goal was to capture the ENTIRE Jam Cruise experience, and I think we did a formidable job.”
With more than 20 participating acts to introduce for the DVD, the JamCam “Hosted by You” concept was in full swing, with everyone from JamBase staffers Andy Gadiel, SuperDee Herman and Aaron “Kayceman” Kayce to Cruise Director Annabel (Julie McCoy) Lukins and Jam Cruise solo performers Alison Lewis and Rebecca Jean-Smith getting in on the action. “We got EVERYBODY involved” Ledermann smiles, “and if we didn’t use you for an intro or catch you bouncin’ on the pool deck, you’re welcome to submit there of your own still photos to jamcamupdates@sbcglobal.net for the “Passenger Pics” montage we’ll be cutting together for inclusion on the DVD… we want EVERYONE to be part of this.”
