Today, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey issues an expanded edition of their 2008 album Lil Tae Rides Again via Royal Potato Family. The 22-track set features the original LP along with live performances of each song captured during a 2008 tour in support of the album.

Bassist Reed Mathis collected recordings featuring JFJO performing Lil Tae Rides Again live in Portland, Denver, New Orleans and New York City and spliced them all into “one super performance.” Mathis recruited the original album’s producer, Tae Meyulks, to complete the final mastering.

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey’s lineup at the time of the tour featured Mathis, keyboardist Brian Haas, drummer Josh Raymer and guitarist Pete Tomshany. The expanded Lil Tae Rides Again is the final release in a series of four archival live albums and JFJO’s previously unreleased last studio album with Reed, Winterwood. The co-founding bassist put together the Winterwood: A Jacob Fred Story mini-documentary to accompany the series’ announcement.
