Jackson Browne shared a new song entitled “Downhill From Everywhere.” The tune from the legendary singer-songwriter and activist comes in celebration of Earth Day and will appear in the upcoming documentary, The Story Of Plastic.
The documentary takes a “sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it,” a statement read. Browne is a member of the Executive Advisory Board of the Plastic Pollution Coalition. He recently spoke to Rolling Stone about the plastic problem:
Plastic is a great and really useful thing, for medical uses for instance. But it’s just absurd that we use it to deliver things like water. That bottle will be around for hundreds of years and does not biodegrade. This movement has got a lot of attention and a lot of support, because it’s so visible now. It’s no longer something that can be sort of swept under the rug.
