Jackie Greene & Sean Watkins Appear On Guitar Power Acoustic

Guitar string manufacturer D’Addario enlisted Watkins Family Hour/Nickel Creek guitarist Sean Watkins and fellow six-stringer Jackie Greene for the latest installment of the Guitar Power Acoustic video series. The pair both talk about and play guitar in the newly posted video.

Watkins and Greene cover a variety of topics relating to playing the guitar during the discussion. Watkins, playing an acoustic given to him by Jackson Browne, demonstrates his flatpicking and fingerpicking techniques while playing a bit of the traditional “Red Haired Boy.” Watkins talks about the influence of Tony Rice and also explains how rock music affected his early playing, riffing on Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” and Radiohead’s “Idioteque” as examples.
