Jack White & Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy Join Yusuf/Cat Stevens In Nashville

Last night legendary singer-songwriter Yusuf/Cat Stevens held his first concert in Nashville in 40 years, staging a show at the historic Ryman Auditorium as part of his A Cat’s Attic Tour. The performance saw a pair of special guests as both Jack White and Bonnie “Prince” Billy sat-in with the iconic musician.

Touring in celebration of his 50 year career, Yusuf/Cat Stevens delivered a career-spanning setlist, playing over 30 songs during the two set concert. Toward the conclusion of a first set that saw renditions of “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” “Trouble,” “Katmandu” and others, White emerged to lend an extra guitar and vocals to “Where Do The Children Play.” Stevens then ended the set with “On The Road To Find Out.”

Hits such as “Sad Lisa,” “Father And Son,” “Moon Shadow” and “Peace Train” were among the songs played in set two. The encore began with “Wild World” and continued with “Boots and Sand” before Bonnie “Prince” Billy (Will Oldham) came out to assist on “Welcome Home” and “All Kinds Of Roses.” The show concluded with a take on “Morning Has Broken.” Below view audience-shot video clips of Tuesday’s collaborations.
