Third Man Records teamed with nugs.net to present the playlist Jack White Improvisations: 2022. The 33-minute collection contains 17 recordings captured on the guitarist’s Supply Chain Issues World Tour around a pair of solo albums.
In 2022, Jack White released Fear of the Dawn on April 8 and Entering Heaven Alive on July 22. While the former was a heavier album, the latter leaned acoustic. Jack set out on the Supply Chain Issues Tour the same day Fear of the Dawn arrived with a concert in his hometown of Detroit (where he also married partner Olivia Jean).

The Supply Chain Issues Tour went on to be a landmark one for Jack White. Along with Jack’s blue hair, adding to the magical atmosphere around the world trek was an increased flair for improvisation, captured on the Jack White Improvisations: 2022 playlist. Third Man Records further detailed the collection.
Going back to his earliest days in the White Stripes all the way through “No Name” tour dates this year and last, Jack White is consistently inspiring whenever he starts making shit up off the top of his head. For some reason, this was REALLY at the forefront in 2022, where the extemporaneous and improvisational moments on the “Fear of the Dawn” tour feel particularly motivated. So collected here is a solid 30 minutes across 17 or so different explorations of Jack White just winging it in the best of ways.
