A new video starring Jack Black singing the Super Mario Bros. Movie soundtrack song “Peaches” is trending on YouTube. Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade helmed the video for the song co-written by the film’s co-director Aaron Horvath as well as Eric Osmond, John Spiker and Michael Jelenic along with help from the multi-talented Jack Black.
Black voices Bowser in the Super Mario Bros. Movie, which topped box offices over its premiere weekend. “Peaches” shows a softer side of the iconic Nintendo video game villain.

“Bowser plays an incredible piano ballad that extols his love for Princess Peach,” Horvath said as per Insider. “As we were trying to get the point across of Bowser’s feelings for Peach, it seemed more fun, funny and sweet if we had [Black] sing a song about it.”
Hovarth and company then shot their idea to the Tenacious D frontman who brought the song to fruition.
“Jack Black is an incredible singer and musician, so we spent a night writing the song and sent the demo to Jack,” Horvath continued. “A couple days later, Jack sent us back a finished track. He had added his own twist on it and his pianist played an original music track for it. We were blown away.”
