Tourmates Iron & Wine And I’m With Her Release Propulsive ‘Robin’s Egg’ Single

Next month, Iron & Wine (Sam Beam) and folk supergroup I’m With Her will unite for an 11-date co-headlining tour. The two acts provided a sneak peek of the run by sharing “Robin’s Egg,” a new collaborative single.

“Robin’s Egg” arrives on the heels of I’m With Her’s sophomore album, Wild And Clear And Blue. The trio of Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan and Sara Watkins released the highly anticipated follow-up to 2018’s See You Around on May 9.

Sam Beam wrote and produced “Robin’s Egg.” The track is an “early preview” of a “still-in-the-making” Iron & Wine record as per Beam’s label Sub Pop. Jarosz, O’Donovan and Watkins contributed their signature three-piece harmonies to the spirited song.

Beam said the following about “Robin’s Egg”

“I had the start of ‘Robin’s Egg’ kicking around and began finishing the tune earlier this year with I’m With Her in mind. We had already started to plan our summer tour together; I passed it to them with the hope they were up for adding their voices to it and lucky for me they were! I’m looking forward to performing it, and a few other surprises, with them this summer.”

Iron & Wine and I’m With Her kick off their co-headlining tour on July 10 in Interlochen, Michigan. The two bands will be on the road together through their appearances at Newport Folk on July 26.
