Before embarking on their current tour, Interpol revealed to fans that “new music” was on the way soon. The band added the new song, “Wings On Fire,” to the setlist of their show last night at Revel in Albuquerque.

Interpol’s last album was 2022’s The Other Side of Make-Believe. The band is touring with Urian Hackney on drums, filling in for Sam Fogarino, who, despite contributing to the forthcoming new record, is physically unable to tour following spinal surgery in 2023.

Interpol’s show Thursday night at the Revel came between appearances at Coachella, where they will appear again on Saturday for the festival’s second weekend. Along with “Wings Of Fire,” Interpol’s Revel setlist included “See Out Loud,” another new original song which they played for the first time in March.

“Thank you very much, that’s a new song called ‘Wings On Fire,’” frontman Paul Banks expressed to the Albuquerque audience.

Interpol’s Coachella set on Saturday (April 18) is part of the free YouTube livestream. Watch audience-captured footage of “Wings Of Fire” taking flight for the first time (at 23:04) along with Interpol’s full Revel show below:
