Injury Forces Michael Franti To Postpone Upcoming Tour

We think it’s fair to say Michael Franti isn’t feelin’ too good today after an injury has forced him to postpone an upcoming solo acoustic tour that was planned for East Coast venues next month.

Franti took to social media to share the following statement, “Michael here! While performing last weekend on Rock Boat, I tore my meniscus and require a surgery in February. I’m sad to report that I need to reschedule my plans for my tour Feb 9-20. I’m so grateful to all of you who bought tickets. I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the shows as much as I was, but we will see you later in the year!” No word yet on when the rescheduled dates will take place.

Michael does expect to go on with a tour of New Zealand and Australia that’s set to begin in late March:

Here’s hoping for a quick recovery!
