The Infamous Stringdusters Detail Winter Tour 2020 & Release Live Album

The Infamous Stringdusters will begin 2020 with an extensive winter tour that includes a series of co-bills with Yonder Mountain String Band. Additionally, The Infamous Stringdusters announced a new live album is on its way and shared two tracks from the set.

On January 16, The Infamous Stringdusters and Yonder Mountain String Band kick off a run of co-headlining dates in the Pacific Northwest at the Historic Ashland Armory in Ashland, Oregon. The two bands then will play Portland on January 17, Seattle on January 18 and Eugene on January 19. From there, The ‘Dusters break off for performances in Bend, Oregon on January 21 followed by a trip to California for dates in Santa Cruz on January 23 and San Francisco on January 24.

In February, The Infamous Stringdusters head to the Midwest for visits to Chicago, Kimberly (Wisconsin), Minneapolis, Lincoln, Madison, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. It’s then off to the South for dates in Athens, Georgia and Tampa, Florida before the band returns to the West Coast for a stop in Bakersfield, California on March 5 and a performance in Telluride, Colorado on March 7.

A pre-sale begins on Wednesday, October 23 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 25 at 10 a.m. local time. $1 from each ticket sold will benefit HeadCount and the organization’s voter registration efforts.

The band will release Live From Covington, Kentucky on November 15. The live album was recorded at the group’s July 13, 2019 performance at Covington’s Paradise Music & Beer Festival. The Infamous Stringdusters previewed the set by sharing audio of the original “Planets” and a cover of “Free” by Phish from the forthcoming live album. A studio version of “Planets” appears on The Infamous Stringdusters’ 2019 album, Rise Sun.
