Indigo Girls returned to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday to serve as the program’s musical guest. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers were joined by fiddler Lyris Hung for a performance of their 1989 hit “Closer To Fine” and a web exclusive “Ghost.”
Yesterday’s episode is part of the show’s 19th and final season with the last installment set to air on May 26. Indigo Girls have appeared on Ellen numerous times including in 2004 during the program’s first season.
“Closer To Fine” was Indigo Girls’ first hit and helped put the pair on the map. The song was featured on the group’s self-titled sophomore studio album and major-label debut in 1989, while “Ghost” appears on 1992’s Rites Of Passage.
