Iggy Pop returns today with his 19th studio album, Every Loser, via Atlantic Records/Gold Tooth Records. The Godfather Of Punk assembled an impressive array of rock stars for the record including producer Andrew Watt along with members of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N’ Roses, Pearl Jam and more.

Iggy tapped RHCP drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard and Josh Klinghoffer to perform on the new LP. Additional contributors include Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Dave Navarro and Eric Avery, Blink 182’s Travis Barker and a posthumous appearance from Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Iggy enlisted renowned producer/guitarist Andrew Watt to helm Every Loser.

“Iggy Pop is a fucking icon,” Watt stated. “A true original. The guy invented the stage dive..I still can’t believe he let me make a record with him. I am honored. It doesn’t get cooler. This album was created to be played as loud as your stereo will go…turn it up and hold on…”

Every Loser marks the first album in a partnership between Columbia and Watt’s Gold Tooth Records.

“I’m the guy with no shirt who rocks; Andrew and Gold Tooth get that, and we made a record together the old-fashioned way,” Iggy added. “The players are guys I’ve known since they were kids and the music will beat the shit out of you.”

Every Loser is the follow-up to what was supposed to be the Godfather Of Punk’s final album, Free. But Iggy Pop proved that he’s still ready to rock with singles like “Frenzy” and “Strung Out Johnny.”
