Hot Tuna Extends Upcoming Tour Into Early 2018

Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady have announced an additional batch of Hot Tuna dates including Hot Tuna Electric performances with drummer Justin Guip. The band’s upcoming tour now extends into early 2018.

Up first for the group is an appearance at this weekend’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco. Hot Tuna then teams with guitarist Steve Kimock at Fur Peace Ranch on November 11. A series of late November Hot Tuna Acoustic dates follows including four nights at City Winery in New York City spread out over two weekends.

The acoustic run continues into December with performances set for Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and Virginia. Hot Tuna returns to the electric format for three dates with Kimock as the quartet will play Asbury Park on December 7, Port Chester on December 8 and Huntington on December 9. The group begins 2018 with acoustic shows at City Winery outposts in Nashville on January 11 and Atlanta on January 12 ahead of appearances at Florida’s Sunshine Music Festival. Hot Tuna then heads to Jamaica for electric and acoustic sets at Dark Star Orchestra’s Jam In The Sand VI.
