Hot Buttered Rum Shares New Single ‘Something Beautiful’: Exclusive Premiere

Hot Buttered Rum shared “Something Beautiful,” the title track and lead single off their upcoming new studio album. The Bay Area-based band will release Something Beautiful on April 3.

“I wanted a song I could sing to get my head together after reading the morning news,” banjo player Erik Yates said of the title track. “I knew it had to be something simple, with a backbeat strong enough to cut through the noise.”

“Something Beautiful” is one of 10 songs on the band’s new record. Hot Buttered Rum wrote and recorded the album in their home state and recruited fellow California-based guest musicians to contribute to the album, including pianist Holly Bowling, steel guitarist Barry Sless and state champion fiddler Alex Sharps.
