Hootie & The Blowfish hopped on the Stagecoach stage on Sunday. The band’s performance at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California saw them welcoming hip-hop greats Public Enemy.

Country crossover star Darius Rucker led his 90s-hitmaking alt-rock band through “Hannah Jane” to begin Hootie & The Blowfish’s set at Stagecoach.

The opener on the band’s astronomically successful 1994 debut full-length album, Cracked Rear View, was one of six songs performed from the record including additional standouts such as “Time,” “Let Her Cry,” “Hold My Hand” and “Only Wanna Be With You.” Darius Rucker also delivered his hit cover of Old Crow Medicine Show's “Wagon Wheel” along with Led Zeppelin's “Hey, Hey, What Can I Do.”

Following “Only Wanna Be With You,” which included a “Get Down On It” tag, Hootie & The Blowfish welcomed Chuck D and Flavor Flav of Public Enemy. The duo came out to one of their own crossover hits, “He Got Game,” which samples Buffalo Springfield's “For What It’s Worth,” and the anthem “Fight The Power” to wrap the set.
