Margo Price, Phoebe Bridgers & More Perform For Ruth Bader Ginsburg Tribute

Margo Price, Phoebe Bridgers and Hayley Williams (Paramore) were among those who contributed performances to Honor Her Wish, a livestream special in honor of late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg that premiered on Monday night. The two-hour broadcast also featured a number of speeches from such notables as Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Michael Stipe and Miley Cyrus.

The entire Honor Her Wish livestream can be viewed here. Additionally, highlights were shared via @WeDemandJustice. Miley Cyrus spoke of RBG to get the broadcast underway. The first performer was Jon Batiste, who teamed with a bassist to cover “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Price was the second performer of the special. Margo teamed with her husband, Jeremy Ivey, for “Pay Gap” from her All American Made album. “Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a feminist icon and a hero to so many,” Price noted before her performance. “She was the very definition of truth, justice and honor. Ruth fought for women’s rights and equal pay but she also fought for equality for all and how it could benefit all.”

Hayley Williams dedicated a performance of “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris” to “the women in my family who overcame sexual and domestic violence” and “all victims of sexual and domestic violence.”

Phoebe Bridgers contributed a performance of “Graceland Too” from the recently released Punisher to the special. Bridgers was backed by Harrison Whitford and Marshall Vore as per Brooklyn Vegan.

Kesha and Resistance Revival Chorus were the final two performers of the special. Watch a few of the speeches from Honor Her Wish below:
