Yesterday, The Real Deal reported Atlas Capital Group “is in contract” to purchase the Williamsburg building that hosts both Brooklyn Bowl and Brooklyn Brewery. As per The Real Deal the price is an insane $37.4 million. When word of the deal broke, many NYC music fans worried about their beloved Brooklyn Bowl but one of the venue/restaurant’s owners allayed some fears.

We reached out to Brooklyn Bowl co-founding partner Peter Shapiro about the deal and he told JamBase, “In terms of the story nothing changes for us. We hope to be 61 Wythe Avenue [the current location] for a long time.” Brooklyn Bowl has a lease that runs through 2021. Since the original Brooklyn Bowl opened, Shapiro and his partners have opened outposts in Las Vegas and London with more to come. New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl opened in 2009 and recently celebrated its seventh anniversary. Stay tuned!
