The History Of Rock In 15 Minutes

By Andy Kahn Mar 9, 2016 12:37 pm PST

The history of rock ‘n’ roll music is covered over the course of 64 songs in a new video from Ithaca Audio. The 15-minute mashup cleverly unveils each song through a historically fictitious series of Facebook posts.

Starting with Elvis Presley’s “Jailhouse Rock” and concluding with Kings Of Leon’s “Sex On Fire” the journey through some of the most well-known songs in rock history features many legends of the genre. Also included within the mashup are tracks by such icons as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, The Clash, David Bowie and AC/DC, as well as more recently released cuts by Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against The Machine, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The White Stripes and many more.
