Hiss Golden Messenger Unveils Grateful Dead Cover In New York City

On November 15 Hiss Golden Messenger brought their tour in support of Heart Like A Levee to the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in New York City. A soundboard recording of the entire show, including the debut of a Grateful Dead cover, has surfaced.

Hiss Golden Messenger contributed a cover of “Brown-Eyed Women” to the Grateful Dead compilation released earlier this year, Day Of The Dead. Ever since fans have been asking the band to play “Brown-Eyed Women” live and they finally debuted their take on the Hunter/Garcia gem as part of the November 15th show in Brooklyn. HGM was joined by Bob Weir’s Blue Mountain collaborator Josh Kaufman for a portion of their NYC show and were aided by Josh for the Dead cover.
