Taylor X2: Hiss Golden Messenger’s M.C. Taylor & Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith Announce Tour

M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger and Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith will embark on a joint tour in March 2025. The seven-date run will find the two musicians onstage together performing a mix of songs from the Dawes and Hiss Golden Messenger catalogs.

Hey! I’m excited to announce a special tour with my friend Taylor Goldsmith this March! As most of you probably know, Taylor is the singer and songwriter and guitarist behind the band Dawes. Dawes is from Los Angeles, and Taylor’s songs (with his brother Griff) do such a deep musical thing that, as a native Southern Californian, feel so close to home for me. He’s a special songwriter, and I’m honored play music together. These will be collaborative shows, so expect us to be up there together for as long as he can stand me!

Soulful isn’t often a word I would use to describe too many contemporary artists, but it’s the first word that comes to mind in regards to MC Taylor and Hiss Golden Messenger. He digs deep, he speaks truth and I’ve been an admirer for a long time. So now I’m very excited that we’re gonna team up for a collaborative run, playing each other’s tunes, backing each other up. Two guys, two guitars and two pretty extensive catalogues. It’s always fun to give these songs of ours new identities through different presentations like this, so I get the feeling this will be a run not to be missed. Hope to catch you out there.

The brief excursion begins on March 6 with a concert at Chicago’s Thalia Hall. M.C. Taylor and Taylor Goldsmith then hit Columbus, Indiana on March 7 and Ann Arbor, Michigan on March 8 before a performance in Charleston, West Virginia on March 9.

The pair wrap the tour with a three-city swing through the Northeast. Albany, New York’s The Egg hosts the duo on March 11. From there, Taylor Goldsmith and M.C. Taylor head to Massachusetts to close their time on the road with shows in Gloucester on March 12 and Fall River on March 13.
