Hiss Golden Messenger Announces ‘Devotion: Songs About Rivers And Spirits And Children’ Box Set

Merge Records will release a Hiss Golden Messenger box set entitled Devotion: Songs About Rivers And Spirits And Children on November 2. The four-disc collection comes with Virgo Fool, a rarities compilation that features the track “Rock Holy.”

In addition to Virgo Fool — which will only be available physically as part of the box set — the collection features remastered reissues of Hiss Golden Messenger’s albums Bad Debt, Poor Moon and Haw. Available in CD and vinyl formats, Devotion: Songs About Rivers And Spirits And Children comes “housed in a cloth-wrapped, foil-stamped slipcase and feature original iconographic artwork by Sam Smith, an exclusive foldout poster, full lyrics, and new liner notes by The New Yorker writer Amanda Petrusich and MOJO editor John Mulvey.”
