Next Friday, August 9 The Hip Abduction will release their fourth full-length studio album, To the Ends of the Earth. JamBase is pleased to premiere the LP’s latest single, “Welcome To The Party.”

The St. Petersburg, Florida-based quintet recorded the bulk of the 11-track LP at The Lala Mansion in Tampa and then headed to New York City to complete work on the album with producers Jackson Hoffman and Ryder Stuart.

“‘Welcome to the Party’ isn’t about a physical place or event, it’s just a state of mind. Certain people just have it,” said frontman David New about the new single. “Totally relaxed and under control in every situation, care free, happy go lucky, almost as if they’ve found inner peace and see the beauty within everything. Whether it be found via meditation, travel, exercise, religious experience or just born with it. This is the song that’s sung when you find your own ‘happy place.’ Hopefully there’s also a few people around you to share the good vibes when you get there.”
