The Fog City Holdouts (Lebo from ALO, Nat Keefe from Hot Buttered Rum and Bo Carper from New Monsoon) take us on a rootsy ride from Mississippi to Marin, through swampy southern deltas to the beating heart of psychedelia. As bottleneck blues give way to power-soaked steel and old story songs weave into modern mandalas, we hear high-proof country blues morph into fractal-fueled acoustic anthems that sparked imaginations of musical pioneers from Doc Watson to Gram Parsons to Garcia/Grisman, and all points in-between. Special guests include Kyle Ledson (Broken Compass Bluegrass) and more!
Guitarmageddon (5:15 – 6:30 p.m.)
A well-loved tradition at High Sierra, Guitarmageddon celebrates the golden era of ‘90s rock. With the return of Benjamin Andrews (Con Brio) as musical director, this year’s gathering of guitar greats promises to be a loud, nostalgic, flannel-draped ride through the iconic rock of the early ‘90s.
