HeadCount Unveils 2017 D’Angelico Dead & Company Guitars
By Scott Bernstein May 23, 2017 • 1:22 pm PDT

This Saturday Dead & Company begin a month-long tour at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. HeadCount, a non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy, has teamed with D’Angelico to design five custom guitars to help support Participation Row. Today, HeadCount and D’Angelico have unveiled the designs for the custom axes.
Each Premier Weir SS model guitar features a partial steal your face and a silhouette of images related to the iconic venues on the tour (Shoreline, Folsom Field, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and one for the entire tour). The guitars will be signed by all six members of Dead & Company and then auctioned at the show to support the non-profits of Participation Row. Beneficiaries include HeadCount, Reverb and another dozen charities handpicked by Dead & Company. Participation Row is described as a “Shakedown Street for doing good,” a collection Dead-family non-profit organizations who’ll have booths at every show on the upcoming summer tour.
While most of the guitars will be auctioned off for charity, one will be given away for free along with thousands of limited-edition numbered pins. Fan just have to take socially conscious actions with three non-profits on Participation Row to enter the guitar drawing and get the pin. Head to HeadCount’s blog for more information.
