Red Rocks Reunion: Original The Head & The Heart Lineup To Reunite For 1st Concert In 8 Years

The band’s initial lineup with co-founder Josiah Johnson will reunite this summer.

The Head and the Heart co-founding vocalist/guitarist Josiah Johnson will perform with the band at Red Rocks on June 29. The performance will be the first to feature the full original lineup in eight years.

The Head And The Heart was formed by Johnson and guitarist Jonathan Russell in Seattle in 2009. The band’s membership includes violinist/guitarist Charity Rose Thielen, bassist Chris Zasche, drummer Tyler Williams and keyboardist Kenny Hensley, as well as Thielen’s multi-instrumentalist husband, Matty Gervais, who joined in 2016 after Johnson’s departure. The group’s most recent album was last year’s Every Shade Of Blue.

The Head And The Heart will perform songs from every era and album when they take the stage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on June 29. Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 13 at 10 a.m. MT. Buy The Head & The Heart Red Rocks tickets through AXS.com.
