Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Confirms 1st Round Of 2019 Lineup

Jackie Greene, Meat Puppets and Margo Price are among the 80+ acts set to play the 2019 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass music festival. The free event returns to Golden Gate Park October 4 – 6 and once again portions of the lineup will be announced via medleys shared on the festival’s social feeds.

Hayes Carll, Bettye LaVette, Calexico And Iron & Wine, Dakhabrakha, Steve Earle & The Dukes, The Milk Carton Kids and The Waterboys round out the list of HSB ’19 acts included in the first medley. A second medley is coming on Tuesday, July 30. “To me, this lineup reflects our event’s legacy while looking ahead to the future,” said Hardly Strictly’s talent buyer Chris Porter in a statement. “Steve Earle has been celebrating with us since 2002 and artists like Margo Price and Dahkabrahka are making their first Hardly Strictly Bluegrass appearances.”

The event was founded in 2001 by late financier and philanthropist Warren Hellman.
