“Can’t wait to get back to one of our very favorite festivals, in such a beautiful park and at the perfect time of year—see you soon in SanFran at Hardly Strictly!!” stated Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass was founded by the late venture capitalist, philanthropist and music lover Warren Hellman. First held in 2001, the free festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.

The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass team has been digging into the festival’s archives for the Portals to the Past series. Look for the first installment to be released tomorrow, July 25 on what would have been Hellman’s 90th birthday.
