Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Announces Full Lineup

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass returns to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco October 2 – 4. Organizers of the event have confirmed the full lineup of artists appearing at the free festival next month.

ALO, Doobie Decibel System, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, Punch Brothers, Los Lobos, Neko Case, Nels Cline & Julian Lage, and many more are among the additions to the finalized lineup. Those performers join the previously confirmed Leftover Salmon featuring Bill Payne of Little Feat, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Monophonics. Boz Scaggs, The Blind Boys Of Alabama and others making up the more than 100 acts who will appear across seven stages.

This year’s HSB will all feature a special performance of Big Star’s Third by an all-star band featuring Jody Stephens of Big Star, Mike Mills of R.E,M, Ken Stringfellow of The Posies, Chris Stamey of The dB’s, Pat Sansone of Wilco, Audley Freed, Ralph Carney, Brett Harris and Skylar Gudasz, with a chamber orchestra featuring Kronos Quartet all conducted by Van Dyke Parks and including special guests Steve Earle, Robyn Hitchcock and Chatham County Line.
