I’m With Her, ALO and Alan Sparhawk with Trampled by Turtles were part of a new batch of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2025 lineup additions. The 25th anniversary event is slated to return to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, October 3 – 5.

“We had the best time performing at HSB on a gorgeous sunny day back in 2018,” I’m With Her stated. “There’s nothing like a weekend of music in Golden Gate Park and we can’t wait to return this fall!”

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2025 also added The Altons, William Prince, Sinkane, Kelly McFarling, Jontavious Willis, and The Watson Twins. The newly confirmed artists were previewed via a medley posted on the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass app and website.

The new lineup additions join prior named HSB 25 performers, Lucinda Williams, The String Cheese Incident, Courtney Barnett, The Reverend Horton Heat, Samara Joy, Watchhouse, Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets, Dan Tyminski Band, Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band and Chuck Prophet & His Cumbia Shoes, among others.

The 25th anniversary weekend celebration will begin on Thursday, October 2 with a special, sold-out, all-star benefit concert honoring Emmylou Harris at San Francisco’s The Masonic. Emmylou Harris is the only artist to perform at each and every Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival.

A series of “Out Of The Park” concerts will take place at venues across the Bay Area to benefit Sweet Relief, Bay Area Musicians’ Fund. The nighttime shows feature several of the artists listed on the initial lineup, including The String Cheese Incident at The Fillmore on October 4, Watchhouse at The UC Theatre on October 4, Josh Ritter at The Chapel on October 3 and Dan Tyminski at Sweetwater Music Hall on October 3.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass at 25: The Big Twang! book of photography and essays about the past 25 years of HSB will also be released. More artists are expected to be added to the free festival’s lineup. View the current roster of performers below.
